Inquiry into ABC's comittment to regional diversity

About the Senate Inquiry
On 27 November 2012 the Senate referred the following matter to the Senate Standing Committees on Environment and Communications for inquiry and report.

Submissions should be received by 18 January 2013. The reporting date is 14 March 2013.

The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to ec.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.

Terms of Reference
That the following matter be referred to the Environment and Communications References Committee for inquiry and report:

(a) the commitment by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) to reflecting and representing regional diversity in Australia;

(b) the impact that the increased centralisation of television production in Sydney and Melbourne has had on the ABC's ability to reflect national identity and diversity; and

(c) any related matters.
